What does treatment involve?
Profhilo is injected just below the skins surface at 5 key injections sites per side
After injection, the Profhilo disperses quickly beneath the skin, improving hydration and giving a luminous glow. It is absorbed within a 2 cm radius of its injection site, so the entire face is treated with only 10 injections
Two sessions are typically required, spaced 4 weeks apart. In some cases, a third session may be advised.
Results are not immediate but you may begin to notice changes in your skins appearance several days after your first treatment. The best results are visible 4 weeks after the second treatment.
How does it differ from filler?
Although both consist of hyaluronic acid, their characteristics and function are very different.
Profhilo is a bio-stimulator that doesn't change the structure of the face. It consists of ultra-pure non-cross linked hyaluronic acid which flows under the dermis, boosting collagen and elastin content, as well as hydration and remodelling the skin.
Dermal fillers on the other hand, consist of cross-linked hyaluronic acid, so they remain in the area that they are placed, thereby restoring lost volume and plumping deep lines and wrinkles
